Arab-Islamic division shadows Annapolis confab

Senior Hamas leader, Mahmoud Al Zahar, stated on Thursday that the ongoing Arabic-Islamic division, will likely shadow the upcoming Annapolis peace confab.

 

Al Zahar's remarks came during an interview with the London-based Al Quds Al Arabi Arabic newspaper.

The Palestinian leader voiced astonishment of the Arab positions over the continued Israeli closure of Gaza, saying that some Arab countries are being pressured immensely by Zionist regime.

Al Zahar's statement is concurrent with a meeting of Arab state's representatives on Thursday in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheik, to crystallize a position for attending the Washington-sponsored confab next week.‌
