FM urges for serious move against Israel

IRI Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki held telephone talks with Secretary Generals of the United Nations, the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the Arab League to discuss Zionist regime's crimes against the Palestinians.

Mottaki called Secretary Generals of the UN, OIC and Arab League Ban Ki Moon, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu and Amr Moussa respectively to seek serious and immediate response to the inhuman acts by the Zionist regime.

During the telephone call, he pointed to the recent crimes committed by the Zionists in killing and wounding the oppressed Palestinian people, arguing that the usurper regime has stepped up its abominable acts as a result of the sham 'Peace/Annapolis Conference' and increased settlements in the vicinity of Beit-ul-Moqaddas.

Unerscoring the need to avoid interference in Lebanon's internal affairs, he added that the Lebanese people have sufficient capacity to make decision on their own domestic matters.

Other nations can also suggest comprehensive solutions, he noted.

Ban, for his part, expressed deep concern over the recent crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the continuation of settlement in occupied territories.

Ihsanoglu also said that the inhuman acts indicate the 'Annapolis Conference' has, from the beginning, failed to resolve the problems.

For his part, Moussa underlined the need for finding a comprehensive schedule to solve the political crisis in Lebanon.
