Voters affirm support to Palestine

The eleventh presidential election was staged on Friday, June 14 in Iran with millions of the Iranians casting their votes. The Quds News Agency asked several voters about their views concerning the foreign policy of the next president.

A soldier, Farshid Tahami said he expects the next president to have the courage to stand against the US and Israel bullies and give a strong response to any threat to the country. He said however that the next president should make efforts to enhance ties with other countries, especially the neighbors.

Another voter, Abbas Teimournejad said a next president must have the ability to resolve the country’s problems and enhance Iran’s diplomatic position. He also said every Iranian considers the US and Israeli threats as bully and that the next president must never budge to those threats.

Another voter, Mohammad Javad Hosseini said for his part that the foreign policy was not the exclusive scope of a next president and he must decide his measures through consultations. He said resistance was a prime goal however the country would succeed in meeting the goal once it had a strong economy.

And a student, Mehdi Nekoumanesh, a student said Iran’s eight year defense proved that the country would not budge to foreign threats. He said as human and as Muslims the Iranians must help and defend every innocent nation, especially the Palestinian nation.
