Palestinians never give up land

An Iranian expert says the UN resolution 181 in 1947 actually trampled on the inalienable rights of the Palestinian nation.

Majid Safataj was speaking to Qudsna on the 66^th anniversary of the resolution approval.

The expert said Palestinian resistance groups have always rejected the resolution as it denies the Palestinian rights.

The expert said while the resolution gave 43 percent of the Palestinian land to the original people, they have now only 22 percent of the historical land and ironically enough, several Arab state, like Saudi, Qatar and Jordan seek to form a Palestinian state inside these remaining areas.

Safataj said the state would never be formed as the Palestinian nation even is not ready to relinquish an iota of its soil.

Author of Encyclopedia of Palestine in Persian went on to say that following the waves of Islamic Awakening across the region, many expected the developments to be in favor of the Palestinian issue however, enemies of Palestine gathered their force and reversed the trend through fanning crises in Syria, Bahrain and Egypt.

"They pushed the Palestinian issue from the priority no 1 place in the world of Islam while turning the Syrian conflict into a priority," the expert said, adding that the conspiracy badly affected the potentials of the regional nations.

The expert added however that the defeat of the pro-arrogance force in Syria besides the Israeli settlement measure have caused the Muslim public opinion to refocus its attention on the Palestinian issue and the combat against the Zionist regime of Israel.
