Kerry eyes a federal Palestine state

An Iranian expert in regional affairs says a plan recently offered by the US Secretary of State, John Kerry for the PA-Israel talk would ultimately seek a federal Palestinian state and would risk violating all the Palestinian people's rights.

Hassan Hanizadeh told Qudsna that the top US diplomat's visit to the occupied Palestine came in line with a new US project that aim at pummeling on the certain Palestinian rights.

The senior expert elaborated that the US project for the future of Jordan, Palestine and Israel actually seeks to federalize Palestine and cede it to the joint guardianship of Jordan and Israel.

Hanizadeh warned that the status of the occupied Quds ('Jerusalem') remains ambiguous in Kerry's plan, adding that the Palestinian nation, especially the resistance movements would not bow to the plan.

Asked about a call by some PA authorities to resolve the Palestinian issue through a meeting of five UNSC permanent members as they did over Iran, the expert said they are two things apart.

"All resolutions issued by the Security Council have already underlined the establishment of a Palestinian state however the US seeks to hinder the formation of the state through political time-buying games," he elaborated.
