Bennett opposes criminalization of haredi draft-dodgers

Israeli minister of economy has written a letter to the regime's prime minister, calling on him to come out against any move to criminalize draft dogging by ultra-orthodox Jews.

Economy Minister Naftali Bennett wrote the letter on Tuesday night.

He urged Binyamin Netanyahu to get personally involved in stopping criminal sanctions on haredim who refuse to serve in the army or civilian service.

There are pressures in side Israel against the ultra-orthodox Jews who under the regime's law are not obliged to conduct compulsory military services.
