Quds, a red line for all Muslims
A Palestinian lawmaker says his nation expects the Islamic parliaments to adopt practical steps in countering the Israeli judazation. Feisal Abu Shahla also urged for efforts by Muslim lawmakers in securing the Palestinian right of return and the release of the captives.
The Palestinian Legislative Council member told Qudsna on the sidelines of the ninth Islamic Inter-parliamentary Assembly that the Palestinian delegation has joined the session in an effort to brief the Muslim lawmakers on the latest Palestinian developments.
The lawmaker called on Islamic parliaments to press their governments to adopt effective steps in support of the Islamic sanctities, especially the al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Palestinian official warned that Israel was bent on destroying the Islamic features of the occupied al-Quds city (‘Jerusalem’) and to force its population to leave.
“Muslim countries must say in unison that the al-Quds city makes a red line for them and that they would not allow Israel to ignore the red line,” Abu Shahla said.
The lawmaker said Muslim must make efforts to secure the historical city as the capital of a future Palestinian state.
