New Intifada in sight
Qudsna, Ahmad Kazemzadeh:
Palestinians residing in the occupied al-Quds ('Jerusalem') poured fury at the reports of the burning to death of the Palestinian minor Mohammad Abu Khder, staging massive protests that were repressed by the Zionist regime's forces. Dozens of Palestinians were wounded in the repression.
The murdering of Palestinian children is nothing new; every Israeli shelling of or aerial attacks on Gaza takes victims from among Palestinian children among others; children are also a fixed target for Zionist snipers. Such killings have failed to rub any sensitivity on the part of the world media, further emboldening the child-killer regime.
The killing of Abu Khder however is far more brutal than previous cases as he was kidnapped from his way to a local mosque at dawn and was found dead a few hours later with his burnt body carrying clear signs of torture. The body was burnt beyond recognition and was only identified through a DNA test.
The blood of Abu Khder however has apparently turned into fuel for the Palestinian fury. It was clearly the growing anger that prompted the Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to condemn the killing in an apparent act of expediency.
The regime would have been winner if it could fail the Palestinian consensus government or attack Gaza using a media smokescreen provided by the Daesh group's atrocities in Iraq. It is however going to be a loser as the growing Palestinian anger is going to set the stage for a new Intifada (popular uprising).
The prospect of the brutal killing has also apparently prompted the Western government to condemn the Jewish settlers' savagery.
More alarming for the Zionist regime and its Western backers is the timing of the brutal killing as it has coincided with the holy month of Ramadan as Palestinians are prepare to stage mass congregations in the al-ASqsa Mosque courtyard.
