Palestinian groups review Islamic Jihad's initiative

Palestinian groups, including nationalist and Islamic, reviewed a ten-strong initiative put forward by the Islamic Jihad movement on Sunday.

Senior leader, Khaled al-Batsch said the movement has already received positive responses from the anti-occupation movements, adding the Palestinians are resolved to follow the initiative until the Oslo agreement is cancelled.

Islamic Jihad leader Ramadan Abdullah offered in Early October a ten-strong initiative for settling the current crises in the Palestinian issue.

The initiative calls for the cancellation of the Oslo agreement between the Palestinian Authority and Israel. It also calls on the PA to renounce its decision to recognize Israel.

The initiative also urges for modifications to the PLO structure so as to rebuild it into a comprehensive national establishment.

The initiative next calls for measures to remove the existing problems in the occupied West Bank and the besieged Gaza as well as brining to trial of Israel in international courts.
