The sixth international conference on supporting the Palestinian intifada is being held in Tehran with 700 representatives from 80 countries in attendance. The conference is held at time when Palestine, the West Asia and the international community undergo a new situation.

The presence of hundreds of elites from the Muslim community and beyond sends a message for the Palestinian nation, the Muslim community and the international system.

The Palestinian community got bi-polar following the Oslo Accord in 1993. The PLO that is better named the Palestinian hegemony following the accord moved towards compromise with the occupiers and turned into a police for the Zionist regime against the mainstream Palestinian resistance.

The Palestinian resistance groups for their turn have downgraded their demands while they were expected to solidly pursue intensified resistance against occupiers until the land free at last.

Our region too has entered a new phase with the breakout of the ISIS terrorism that virtually sidelined the Palestinian issue as a second hand issue even though the Iranian nation kept its support for the Palestinian nation and never left it alone despite having had to help the Syrian nation and people in their fight against terrorists.

The Zionist regime however used the situation to intensify its expansionist policies while Arab states spent billions of dollars of the Muslim wealth in fomenting the crises in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Bahrain at the cost of the Palestinian issue. They also served the International Zionism by striving to replace Israel as the enemy number one of the Muslim community with the perceived threat of Iran. They pursued the project through inciting the ISIS terrorism and the like.

In another side, Turkish government that always entertained the thought of joining the European Union and had engaged in a normalization process with Israel as a path to the dream, suddenly found itself caught in the ISIS terrorism project amid its new dream of reviving the Ottoman Empire, though the adventure has already proved too much costly for the Turkish nation. Turkey still considers the Trump Administration era as an opportunity.

The sixth international conference on supporting the Palestinian intifada is held amid the situation.

The conference aims to retable the Palestinian issue as a top Muslim agenda.

Those in attendance aim to say in unison that the solution to restore peace and calm in the Muslim community and to lift from the current crisis was to cure the Palestinian problem and to remove the root-cause that is the cancerous tumor of Israel.

As long as Palestinians have not restored their rights nothing would be resolved.

The Palestinian intifada thus must be supported: the struggle of faithful Palestinian youths who have taken to the field by their limited equipment and aim to restore dignity to the Muslim community.

Now is the time for the community to choose either dignity or humiliation.
