Author of 'Christian Zionism: Road-map to Armageddon': Whoever elected in US, Israelis win

A prominent western thinker believes that Israel has a stranglehold over the US Republican and Democrat leaders, financing their campaigns every four years. Stephen Sizer also believes that whoever is elected in the next US presidential elections, Israelis will win.

Author of 'Christian Zionism: Road-map to Armageddon' told Quds News Agency (Qudsna) that the demonstrations in the Arab world pose a huge threat to Israel as it could destabilize the Arab leaderships that have been bought with US/Israeli money and weapons.

The text of the interview follows.

Qudsna: How the ongoing uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa might affect the Palestinian issue? How would you forecast the future of the Palestinian issue and the likely trend of developments?
1. There will be little effect in my opinion unless the new emerging leadership of the Arab world pressures
Israel to recognize the legitimate rights of the Palestinians.

2. Palestinians have been encouraged by the Arab Spring but the Israeli government has been ruthless in crushing demonstrations in the Occupied Territories.

3. The USA is worried that the Arab Spring will see it lose influence through its ‘client’ leaders in Egypt, Jordan, etc.

Qudsna: Now let’s turn to the issue of Occupy demonstrations across the US. How do you assess the issue?

1. This is encouraging but primarily limited to economic reforms in the USA

2. There is some solidarity with the Arab Spring but the US is insulated from and largely disinterested in the wider world.

Qudsna: How do you consider any possible advantages or disadvantages Israel may have in the demonstrations?

1. Israel has a stranglehold over Republican and Democrat leaders financing their campaigns every four years.

2. The demonstrations in the USA are of little consequence to the Israelis as whoever is elected, they win.

3. The demonstrations in the Arab world pose a much greater threat to Israel as it could destabilize the Arab leaderships that have been bought with US/Israeli money and weapons.

Qudsna: One more question. On the eve of the Gaza carnage anniversary, how do you assess the current position and future of Israel, with a view to the Middle East revolutions?

1. Israel is like an addicted gambler or alcoholic. It is unable to demonstrate self-control or rational thought.

2. It believes that it can postpone the day when it will have to negotiate with its Arab neighbors.

3. I genuinely fear a false flag incident by Israel to justify military intervention against Iran that will be used as a cover for expelling Palestinian from the West Bank into Jordan to ‘solve’ or resolve the fact that Israel wants a land with no people to colonize.

4. I pray for a peaceful resolution of the conflict based on the rule of international law.
