Imam Khomeini torch bearer of support for oppressed people

A prominent Tajik author called the late Imam Khomeini the single torchbearer of support for the world’s oppressed people, especially the Palestinian people.

Mirza Shakourzadas Modir, director of prose section in Tajikistan’s union of authors told Qudsna that Imam Khomeini brought about a major development worldwide through his Islamic and revolutionary mood.

Author of more than 30 titles in social and political fields, Modir said Imam Khomeini used to support the world’s colonized populations as a top agenda policy and revived the Palestinian issue.

“Imam Khomeini imbued the Islamic ummah with a spirit of self-confidence and got them united against the world’s arrogant powers,” he said.

He said Imam Khomeini’s works are popular with other nations, especially the Persian speaking people. He said it was a source of pride for the Persian speaking people to be able to studu the works in original language.
