IRI has always supported Palestinian cause – ICC lawyer

A lawyer with the International Criminal Court (ICC) told Quds News Agency

Islamic Republic of Iran has carried several major campaigns in defense of the Palestinians, a lawyer with the International Criminal Court (ICC) said.

Hadi Shaluf made the remarks in an interview with the Qods News Agency on the sidelines of the first international Islamic Awakening conference in Tehran Saturday.

Since the victory of Islamic revolution, Iran has supported the Palestinian cause, he acknowledged.
 
He compared the current revolutions in the region with the revolution of Iran, adding that undoubtedly, the regional revolutions are inspired by Iranian revolutions. He said in both, the people had risen against their dictators and pursued their rights.

He said the world was witnessing the fruits of the 1979 revolution in countries like Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Bahrain, and Libya.
 
Asked about the effect of the Islamic Awakening on the future of Zionist regime, the lawyer said however "we don’t make illusion, we should be very realistic. Israel is not alone. There are many countries and big powers behind Israel."
