Thirty hunger striking detainees protest poor conditions in Zionist regime’s jails

The Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said that thirty detainees are protesting the lack of hygiene supplies, systematic medical neglect, insufficient time outside, as well as unfit food and water.

The commission said that the 30 captives have threatened to stop drinking water in the coming days if the Israel Prison Service does not respond to their demands and improve the conditions.

The commission urged the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRS) and all concerned legal and human rights organizations to intervene against the Zionist Regime’s Prison Service’s inhumane policies.

In related news, a Palestinian prisoner from Jenin, Maher al-Akhras, has been on open-ended hunger strike since July 27 when he was arbitrarily detained, without charges.

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs, said that Zionist regime’s military court extended his detention under the pretext of allowing Zionist regime’s Intelligence Agency, the Shin Bet more time for interrogation.

Dozens of Palestinians participated in a solidarity demonstration and denounced the arbitrary detention policies used against Palestinians, by the Israeli prison authorities.
