FM Spox: Iran welcomes meetings of Palestinian groups
Spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry talked about the future meetings of Palestinian groups and the readiness of Iran for hosting them.
Tehran- Qods News Agency (Qodna): Speaking during his weekly press conference on Monday, Spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Saeed Khatibzadeh answered to the question of Qodsna News Agency about the future meetings of Palestinian groups, saying Iran would welcome the meetings between Palestinian groups and movements.
Referring to the recent decision of Palestinian groups to hold a meeting in order to reach a peace agreement, Khatibzadeh noted: “The decision of Palestinian groups to continue national reconciliation efforts is a clever action. The Islamic Republic of Iran decisively welcomes holding such meetings in Tehran and we are ready in this regard.”
A senior official of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas said in a statement that there is no real will on the part of the United States to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
