US seek to reduce tensions in Middle East
to handle China's threat

Speaking with Qods News Agency, Palestinian author and political analyst Akram Atallah talked about recent visit of US Secretary of Defense to the occupied territories of Palestine and his meeting with top rank Israeli officials, saying that the visit of Lloyd Austin was meant to reduce Zionists’ concerns which have been increased due to the ongoing Iran’s nuclear deal talks in Vienna.

“The mission of US Secretary of Defense in the occupied territories of Palestine was to bring Zionists in line with the US approach towards the Iran’s nuclear program, an issue that would cause negative impacts on their regional position,” Atallah added.

The Palestinian analyst also asserted that the United States seek to reduce tensions in the Middle East to handle the China’s threat, which is a greater challenge for US officials.

He went on to say that US officials know that any war with Iran in the current situation would be costly and would be dangerous for the security of the Zionist regime.
