Meshaal: US administration contacted Qatar and Egypt to reach ceasefire

In press remarks, the senior Hamas official declared that the Israeli occupation wants the resistance to stop its responses to the Israeli aggression, but the movement replied that the occupation has started the provocative acts and the offensive and it must stop it first.

The senior Hamas official explained that the movement demands the occupation get out of Al Aqsa Mosque and allow Palestinians to perform their holy rituals freely at this holy place.

Meshaal highlighted that the US administration and other western countries started to take action because they are deeply concerned about the situation in Palestinian.

“Some European countries oppose the Israeli killing of kids, demolition of homes and displacement of the Sheikh Jarrah’s families,” he added.

Meshaal clarified that the US administration wanted to get in touch with Hamas through Egypt and Qatar to reach a ceasefire agreement.

Hailing the Palestinians’ steadfastness across Palestine, the Hamas official stressed that the Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves against the Israeli violations, confirming that the occupation had plunged the situation into a serious escalation by continuing its crimes and violations at Al-Aqsa and in Jerusalem.
