Al-Nujaba's military threats against Israel, US not a bluff-MEMRI

In a report on the remarks made by the secretary-general of al-Nujaba about the movement’s readiness to strike at American and Israeli interests in support of the Palestinian people, MEMRI cited reports of the presence of the forces of al-Nujaba in the Gaza Strip and warned that Shaykh al-Kaabi would not bluff.

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, the website of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), a Zionist think tank which is affiliated with the Israeli intelligence service, covered the news of the meeting of Shaykh Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary-general of al-Nujaba, with the leaders of the Palestinian movements, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, and wrote, “This Iranian-backed Iraqi Shi’ah movement has expressed interest in helping Palestinian Islamic Resistance groups in the war against Israel.”

This Israeli research institute, while republishing the detailed remarks of Shaykh al-Kaabi made in a meeting with Ismail Haniyeh and Ziyad al-Nakhalah, quoted him as saying, “We are ready to target American interests in retaliation for Washington’s support for the Zionist regime.”

According to MEMRI, the news of the meeting was published in several different languages in the media outlets affiliated with al-Nujaba, however, the time and place of the meeting are unknown.

The think tank then referred to the secretary-general’s statement that “we have access to the depths of the occupied territories and are fully prepared for military-security cooperation with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance” and noted, “al-Kaabi’s statements are not bluff because according to the published reports, the forces of al-Nujaba are present in the Gaza Strip.”

MEMRI referred to the active work of al-Nujaba’s media office in Palestine and added, “Although the forces of al-Nujaba have had a small presence in Palestine so far, their role in the recent Gaza campaign cannot be ruled out.”

At the end of the report, the Israeli website noted that the al-Nujaba movement had launched a Hebrew-language website in January 2021 to promote information about its movements.
