Hamas: We don't accept attacks on Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa

Hamas official called on the Arab and Muslim world to protect Al-Quds and the Al-Aqsa Mosque with every means possible.

The Israeli occupation has gone too far in Judaising occupied Al-Quds and displacing its Palestinian population while increasing the presence of Israeli settlers and illegal settlement neighborhoods, Khalil al-Hayya, head of Hamas' Arab and Muslim Relations Office, has said.

In a televised interview with Al-Aqsa TV channel late Sunday, al-Hayya called on the Arab and Muslim world to protect Al-Quds and the Al-Aqsa Mosque with every means possible.

The Israeli occupation government is trying to export its internal crisis by continuing its aggression against the Palestinian people at home and abroad and going ahead with its settlement and Judaisation plans in Al-Quds, al-Hayya added.

Collaborations with Israeli occupation

Al-Hayya condemned security collaboration with the Israeli occupation and political arrests and crackdown on freedoms by the Palestinian Authority (PA) security services.

The senior Hamas official called on the PA not to count on negotiations with the Israeli occupation, stressing that hopes of reaching a political solution faded away.

The Palestinian people are longing to rebuild their institutions through a democratic process, al-Hayya explained.

He hailed Palestinian citizens of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 for remaining committed to their national identity and land.

Israeli occupation and the Arab region

Al-Hayya affirmed that the Israeli occupation is taking advantage of normalization to go ahead with settlement and Judaisation schemes and continue its aggression against the Palestinian people, reiterating that the Israeli occupation poses a threat to the Arab region and its security and stability.

Condemning the most recent Israeli aggression on Syria, al-Hayya wished the country a future of peace and stability.

Foreign relations

"Hamas respects Turkey and its laws," al-Hayya said, adding that ties between his movement and Turkey are based on mutual respect and shared interests.

Al-Hayya denied media reports alleging that Turkey has imposed tight restrictions on Hamas in the country.

In response to the Israeli aggression in the Arab region, al-Hayya called on Arab states that have normalized ties with the Israeli occupation to backtrack on this move.

Hamas and Palestinian factions

Al-Hayya demonstrated that joint action among the Palestinian factions has been proven efficient, noting that his movement maintains good relations with all Palestinian segments.

Hamas is working on creating a national, unified environment for Palestinian factions to address all challenges facing the Palestinian people.

The member of Hamas Political Bureau congratulated the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) on the success of its internal electoral process.

Al-Hayya also offered his congratulations to Palestinian Islamic Jihad on the completion of the first round of its internal elections.
