Turkish model of gov’t failed
An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs says the ongoing Turkish protests are actually against the government’s policies over Syria.
Muhammad Sadeq al-husseini told Qods News Agency that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has failed to heed warnings over his interference in Syria’s internal affairs and lent unfettered support to terrorists in the country, triggering anger among his own people.
“The anger needed a spark to turn into the current massive protests,” he said.
The expert said the west south to present Turkey as a model of democracy for the regional revolutionary nations however the developments growingly prove the Erdogan party has failed to be a successful model.
The expert noted Erdogan’s failure closed the way for return of the country to world of Islam and at the same time the country will find no way to join the European union.
