Israel behind blasts in Lebanon, Iraq
The Lebanese prominent Alim, Allamah Sayed Mohammad-Hossein Fadhlallah said Wednesday that the Zionist regime's spy agencies are behind the recent explosions in Iraq and Lebanon, al-Khalij (Persian Gulf) reported.
Brig. Gen. Francois Hajj, head of military operations in the Lebanese army command, was killed in an explosion along with several other soldiers Wednesday. Hajj had been mentioned as a candidate to succeed army commander Michel Suleiman if he is elected president.
The website of the UAE-based newspaper quoted Allamah Fadhlallah as describing Israel as terrorist, adding that according to information in hand the Mosad's agents were interfering in the internal affairs of Iraq and Lebanon.
Fadhlallah rejected allegations that Iran supported separatist groups in the region, adding that the country backed regional resistance movements.
The stance proves IRI is helpful for the key affairs of Arab states, he added.
Fadhlallah warned that America was trying to intimidate Arab countries to buy more of its arms.
He called on the Arab countries to cooperate with Iran to adopt a security, political and economic strategy based on respect, good-naighbor policy and mutual interests.
