2 Palestinian Activists Martyred in Airstrike

Two activists with the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, were martyred Saturday evening, and six others were injured, when the Israeli military shelled a training site near Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources at an-Nassar Hospital in Khan Younis reported that an Israeli unmanned drone fired three missiles at a training center of the al-Qassam Brigades, in east of Khan Younis.

Two resistance members were martyred, and six were wounded. Two of the wounded are in serious condition at an-Nassar hospital. The two who were martyred were identified as Ayad Abu Abed and Mansour Al-Breem.

A Hamas representative stated, "The attack is Israeli implementation of the green light that President (George W.) Bush gave Israel during his recent visit that enables the launch of an attack on the Gaza Strip." And a spokesman for Hamas' armed wing stated, "Israeli operations against Palestinian organizations will not subdue the Palestinian people and the Hamas organization and (will not prevent them) from continuing to fight the occupation."
