Tamimi: A comprehensive Islamic initiative is essential to liberate Beit ul-Moqaddas
Supreme judge of Palestine, Sheikh Tayseer Tamimi told Qodsna that the international Qods conference could be an effort to awaken the Islamic nation to support Palestine and help free the Al Aqsa mosque and Beit Ul Mogaddas.
Tamimi made the remarks in an interview with Qodsna correspondent in Istanbul, Turkey on the sidelines of a conference on the issue of Qods.
"Israel tries to judaize the holy city of Qods by settling the immigrant Jews in it," Tamimi said, adding that Qods is the symbol of honor for Muslims and that there are existential dangers facing the foundation of Al Aqsa Mosque.
The supreme judge noted that the conference is not sufficient and that a practical Islamic plan is needed to liberate Beit Ul Mogaddas.
Asked whether the Istanbul conference can be a response to the organizers of the Annapolis meeting, Tamimi said that the conference would surely affect the U.S. sponsored meeting.
Tamimi reiterated that the Istanbul conference was to show that the Islamic nation would never remain silent about anything which treads on its honor.
