Livni to Arabs: Why Won’t You Talk to Me?

According to the Washington Post, Zionists' Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni addressed Arab representatives at the Annapolis confab on Tuesday, telling them, “Stop treating me like a pariah.”  “Why doesn’t anyone want to shake my hand?” Livni asked.  “Why doesn’t anyone want to be seen talking to me?”

Other delegates confirmed that Livni was, in fact, treated like a pariah.  Dutch Minister Frans Timmermans was quoted by the Post as saying the Arab delegates “shun her like she is Dracula’s younger sister.”

Livni has failed in her efforts to hold talks with her Arab counterparts during the Annapolis and Washington talks.

Tzipi Livni aimed at meeting some of the 15 representatives from Arab and Muslim world at Annapolis gathering, Israeli daily unveiled on Wednesday.

Finally, Livni only managed to hold a meeting with Jordan's Foreign Minister Salaheddin al-Bashir in Washington on Wednesday, whose country has diplomatic ties with Israel.

The Zionist foreign minister had plans to visit a Muslim country in North Africa- Morocco or Tunisia- on her way home from Washington, but this also failed.

The Arab states present at the conference included Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

Non-Arab Muslim states who participated were Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Turkey.
