Mishaal: our Arab, int'l tour to break siege

Khaled Mishaal, the head of the Hamas political bureau, confirmed that Hamas leadership is continuing its contacts, correspondence and visits to a number of countries to urge them to break the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.

In a program prepared by voice of the Aqsa radio, Mishaal pointed out that prior to the Arab ministerial conference held in Cairo and the GCC summit, he had sent letters to the participants calling on them to take the initiative and lift the siege on the Palestinian people, adding that he is now on a tour of a number of Arab states for the same purpose.

The Hamas leader also stated that he talked to Arab and European officials about the size of damage to the Palestinian property, life and religious rites in Gaza because of the closure of border crossings.

At the end of the program, the Hamas leader hailed the steadfastness of Gaza people against the Israeli aggressions and siege and their adherence to the Palestinian constants and rights.
