FM condoles Zahar on Gaza massacre

IRI Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki condoled on Tuesday Hamas Leader Mahmoud Zahar on the martyrdoms of a group of Palestinians in Gaza in the latest Zionist invasion of Gaza Strip.

Some 19 defenseless Palestinians, including Hussam Zahar, son of Hamas Leader Mahmoud Zahar, were martyred during the incident which was the deadliest attack of the Zionist regime's forces on the region.

"The results of the US President George Bush's visit to the region soon became clear through the Zionist regime's crimes against Palestinians in Gaza Strip," Mottaki told Zahar in a telephone contact.

Zahar, for his part, thanked Mottaki's sympathy and said, "Those who have and will accompany the US in its support for the Zionist regime are involved in its crimes and have to be responsive to the Islamic Ummah."

He also appreciated Tehran's support for the struggle of the Palestinian nation.
