Palestinians will honorably pass hardships

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that the Palestinian people will pass the hardships honorably and successfully.

Ahmadinejad made the remark in a telephone conversation with head of Political Office of Hamas Khaled Mashal.

He said that the criminal acts and slaying of innocent Palestinian people by Zionists will bear no fruit, and the counterfeit regime should respect rights of the innocent nation of Palestine.

All Iranian people pray for the oppressed Palestinians and condemn the crimes being perpetrated by the Zionists, he added.

Pointing to the unacceptable crimes against Palestinian people, he noted that the Zionists and their ringleaders should know that they will be brought to justice in the future.

During the telephone conversation, the president called on the Palestinian people and government to be patient and rely on the Almighty God, saying that the nation will pass the current ordeal honorably.

Ahmadinejad further noted that the support for Palestinian people is a religious duty, adding that the support for the oppressed people is considered the same in light of teachings of the Great Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and that Iranians will stand by them to the day of final victory.

Mashal, for his part, appreciated the supports by the Islamic Republic of Iran, and sympathy of the president with the bereaved families.

The Palestinian political leader said that the international community must force Israel to lift siege to Gaza Strip, noting that Palestinian people suffer heavy pressures, but they will continue resistance to reach the final goal.
