Doha meeting conspires assassination

An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs believes that the so-called Doha2 meeting has among others conspired to have influential figures in Syria and Lebanon assassinated in order to fan the regional tensions.
Hassan Hanizadeh told Qudsna that the so-called 'friends of Syria' meeting was convened following the change of balance of power in favor of the Syrian President Basher al-Assad on the ground in Syria.
The analyst suggested that the meeting actually focused on how to funnel more advanced weaponry to the rebel side in the country.
The expert said those Arab media that back the rebels are making hue and cry against prominent pro-Syrian personalities in Syria and Lebanon. He said assassination is likely to be committed against the personalities in a bid to shore up the rebel side.
The expert said the west seeks to topple the Syrian government through a wave of assassinations against supporters of the regional resistance, but to no avail. "they would fail again," he said.
