Intl. Quds Day will be day of liberation of Quds

“God willing, one day of international Quds Day ceremonies we will witness liberation of Quds from the claws of Zionist occupiers”, a Sri Lankan personality told Qudsna.

Sheikh S.L.M. Hassan Moulavi, Leader of the House-eastern provincial council of Sri Lanka was speaking to Qudsna on the eve of the 35th edition of the International Quds Day, set for August 2.

In light of the current Islamic uprisings in the West Asian and North African countries, the international day would see a much more magnificent ceremonies, he said.

Touching on regional developments, he said the Muslim uprisings would certainly remove many of the problems of the world of Islam.

"Surely, the current developments and Islamic Awakening in the region have been inspired by the thoughts of Imam Khomeini," he added.

The personality urged all Muslims in the world to stage a mass turnout on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.

Sheikh Moulavi also thanked the Islamic Republic for its support to the Palestinian issue.
