Quds day, day of continued Islamic awakening

An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs says the US and Israel are going to trigger frustration among the regional revolutionary people and for the same reason, the upcoming August 2 international .Quds day rallies are a much more significant even than anytime ever before.

Mohammadi-Sadeq Koushki told Qudsna that the US seeks to put a brake on the advancing vehicle of a wave of awakening in Muslim countries by inciting crises in the revolutionary countries.

The university professor said this year’s Quds event may therefore be called day of continued Islamic awakening.

Koushki used a quote of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic to underline the global perspective of the event: “day of Quds is not only a day for Palestine rather it is the day of Islam and Islamic nations.”

The expert said the August 2 event could be a day of alert for those in Arab and Islamic countries who are deliberately or inadvertently playing into the hand of the US and Israel.

“The day can be used to expose the US and Israeli conspiracy in inciting a civil conflict in Egypt, Syria and Tunisia,” he said.
