Israel not committed to talks

A member of the al-Mizan human rights center in Gaza slammed the world for keeping silence towards the Zionist regime's provocations against Palestinian captives.

Ahmad al-Za'noun told Qudsna the regime has kept its brutal policies against the prisoners in contravention of any international conventions.

The rights activist said the regime seeks to buy time for its settlement expansion and judaization policies by releasing a few Palestinian prisoners.

As for the sufferings of the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip, the activist noted that the hermetic Israeli siege also covers the maritime borders of Gaza so that Palestinian families who live on a fishing life face obstacles set up by the regime at sea.

Asked about the ongoing talk between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, the activist denounced the talks as phony, adding that the PA authorities are well aware that the talks will soon face a deadlock due to the Israeli procrastination. "The US refuses to force Israel to keep committment to negotiations," the activist bemoaned.

The personality said there is no other way for restoring the Palestinian rights than resistance against Israel.

The personality also called on the Muslim countries to adopt clear-cut stances concerning the Palestinian cause.
