Syria would fire 600 missiles at Israel

A senior Iranian political expert says the US actually gave the signal to the Syrian rebels by declaring the use of chemical weapons as a game changer. “The terrorists realized that they must use the weapons in order to have the US intervene in Syria,” Hussein Kan’ani Moqaddam told Qudsna.

“It was a premeditated scenario,” he said, in reference to the alleged chemical weapons use in Syria.

The expert said the US government seeks to carry out a fast-track assault on Syria in which the Syrian defensive infrastructure is totally destroyed. “Syria however commands the largest Scud missiles arsenal in the Middle East. It can fire up to 600 missiles at Israel” if it decides to retaliate a US intervention, the expert noted.

In another regard, the expert said the UN was unlikely to give any approval to a US military intervention in Syria as China and Russia are ready to veto any such pro-intervention draft resolutions.

The expert also said that Russia would set up an anti-Cruise missile shield in Tartus in Syria and would not let US missiles to reach their targets.
