A senior Palestinian personality says the US assault on Syria would start a countdown to destruction of Israel.

Abu Mujahed, spokesman of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) told Qudsna that the US mainly seek to guarantee the safety and security of Israel by attacking Syria, adding however that the US was wrong ‘as any military action against Syria was an start to end of Israel.’

The PFLP authority said Syria was nowadays paying the price of defending the Palestinian and Lebanese nations, adding however the US and the Zionist regime will pay dearly for their folly measures against the axis of anti-Israeli resistance in the region.

Asked about the PFLP position in case of a foreign intervention in Syria, the spokesman said the Palestinian nation will not keep silence towards an attack on Syria and that the PFLP movement would join the anti-US front as part of the entire Islamic umma.

The spokesman also rejected the PA-Israeli talks as useless, adding that the talks would only allow Israel to annex additional parts of the Palestinian land.
