One third of staff at Israeli military industries to lose job
Israel has decided to privatize its military industries, according to Haaretza. The plan however would lead to about one-third of the Israeli military workforce being laid off.
The privitazation plan is expected to be sent to cabinet and Knesset for approval in the coming months.
The state-owned IMI company that developed Uzi but has struggled to stay afloat as a business over the past decade will be put up for sale in the next several months.
