Israel must eventually end occupation

A senior member of the Fatah movement, Faisal abu Shahla says Israel must eventually end its occupation policies and exit the occupied Palestinian lands.
Abu Shahla told Qudsna that Israel was seeking excuses to leave the talks with the Palestinian Authority, adding that the Israeli stance helps prove the rightfulness of the Palestinian position over the Quds city and the al-Aqsa mosque.
The politician promised that the PA representatives would not budge on the red lines of the Palestinian nation.
The politician said however the talks have yet to bear any fruit for the Palestinian nation, adding that the main demand of the PA side is that Israel must withdraw to the 1967 borders.
The politician warned about the settlers attack on the al-Aqsa mosque and regretted that the Muslim countries have remained silent about the attacks.
Asked about US Secretary of State’s John Kerry’s plan for improvement of the PA economy in the West Bank, Abu Shahla said the plan was originally offered by the UN Quartet and that the plan has been stalled due to lack of fund.
The politician also said Israel has no more excuse to keep sanctions on Gaza as there is no rocket firing or Israeli soldier seizure by the Palestinian side. The Fatah member said the sanctions would not be lifted as long as the Palestinian factions are not united.
