Iranian president regrets demise of Rahnama
Iranian President Hassan Rowhani has regretted the demise of veteran pro-Palestinian activist, Sheikh Mostafa Rahnama.
The longest-operating anti-Zionist activist in Iran passed away on Monday
Rowhani expressed his deep sorrow for the demise and called Rahnama a pioneer of defense of the Palestinian cause.
Rahnama was born in 1925. He published the journal 'life of Muslims' in 1950 and founded an anti-imperialism association a year later called 'free Muslim.' The association was shut down by the then-pro Israeli Pahlavi regime.
Rahnama resumed his activities following the victory of the Islamic revolution. The activist had a 60-year record in pro-Palestinian work and had authored numerous books and articles in the field.
