Netanyahu seeks to dodge int'l challenges

A Palestinian political expert says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to use his UN speech against Iran to escape from the challenges ha faces with in international relations.

Hazem abu Shanab told Qudsna that Netanyahu seeks to dodge world criticisms concerning the Israeli nuclear activities by attacking Iran.

The expert said it was time for the international community to break its silence towards the regime and bar it from intervening in other countries' internal affairs.

The Palestinian expert believed that Iran has the right under the international conventions to develop its needed nuclear program, adding that a religious fatwa by Iran's leader banning production and use of nuclear weapons provides evidence that the Iranian nuclear program is totally peaceful.

Abu Shanab said the international community must withdraw from its double standards concerning Iran and stand against the Zionist regime that is said to be in hold of 200 to 300 nuclear warheads.

The Palestinian expert the world's failure to deal with the Israeli scare will trigger a nuclear arms race in the region.
