Settlers facing new security challenges

A member of the Palestinian Popular Resistance Committees has talked of a rise in the number of attacks against Zionist settlers in the occupied West Bank.

Abu Mujahid told Qudsna that sniper attacks against settlers will increase in future in response to the occupiers' oppression and aggression against the Palestinian population in the area.

The Palestinian personality said the Palestinian are facing harsh living conditions as settlers increasingly attack their properties. The spokesman added that the settlers attack on the holy al-Aqsa mosque have deeply affected the Palestinian sentiment.

The spokesman suggested a new form of resistance was in the making in the West Bank, adding that sniper attacks are part of a clear response by the WB population to the Zionists.

Abu Mujahid added that the emerging insecurity will prove the fact for the settlers that the West Bank residents are towing the line of Gaza people in considering armed resistance as the sole option at hand in the face of the Zionist regime.

The spokesman said the Israeli security forces have yet to identify the snipers behind the recent attacks, adding that the West Bank people refuse to cooperate with the regime's forces in this regard in rejection of the security projects jointly implemented by the Zionist regime and the Palestinian Authority in the area.
