Obama not agreeing with Netanyahu

A member of the Palestinian Legislative Council has categorically rejected the Israel Prime Minister’s recent call that Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

Muhammad Shehab told Qudsna that the Israeli prime minister’s call was bullying and arrogant and that the Palestinian will by no means agree to the call.

The Palestinian figure said the Palestinian zeal and religious beliefs never allow them to agree to the demand.

The Palestinian lawmaker expressed disgust at the Palestinian Authority’s decision to continue talk with the Zionist regime, adding that the authority never represents the Palestinian nation.

“Those who sell out the sanctities, land and history of Palestine to Israel are actually sell out their dignity and will have a humiliating future ahead”, Shehab said.

The lawmaker noted that the US initially made many promises to the Palestinian Authority before the talk begins however at present it is not ready to meet any of them.

As for the Israeli Prime Minister’s claims that the Israeli-Palestinian problem was not over land, the lawmaker said the Zionist authorities, led by Netanyahu seek to alter the realities on the ground however no one believes them. “Even (the US President Barack) Obama does not agree with him. Obama knows that Netanyahu’s claims over the regime’s ownership of the Palestinian lands are unfounded,” Shehab said.

The lawmaker added however that the primary concern for Obama is not the rights of the Palestinian nation rather he seeks the US interests. “The US even is ready to level Palestine like Hiroshima and Nagasaki if it helps fulfill the US interests,” the lawmaker reckoned.
