Gains of 2012 Gaza warfare
An Iranian diplomat says the eight-day Gaza war against Israel in 2012 brought invaluable gains for the regional axis of resistance.
Chairman of the foreign ministry’s department on Palestine, Mohammad Qahremani told Qudsna that the Zionist regime of Israel imposed the warfare against Gaza for several reasons.
“The regime sought to make for and take revenge of past failures. It also sought to warm up the election,” the diplomat said, adding that the regime’s effort ended up in failure again.
The diplomat said the Palestinian resistance’s missile defense stunned the regime as it saw its cities of Tel Aviv and ‘Jerusalem’ (occupied al-Quds) hit for a first time.
The Iranian expert touched on the regime’s offer for truce, adding that the offer further eroded the regime’s legitimacy and brought it another failure in the political field.
The expert noted that a congratulatory statement by the Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei following the warfare further boosted the morale of the Palestinian resistance.
