PA detains Israeli drugs suspects

PA forces on Tuesday detained two Israeli citizens accused of distributing drugs in Beita village south of Nablus, Palestinian security officials said.

They said the PA anti-drug unit arrested the two men on suspicions they were moving drugs into areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority in the occupied West Bank.

They were transferred from a Beita municipality building to a separate police station, witnesses said.

Israeli forces set up checkpoints around the village shortly after the incident.
