Iran, Syria are punished for defending Palestine

Syrian grand mufti Ahmad Badr Hasoun has reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria are being punished for their robust stance in defense of the Palestinian nation.

The Syrian mufti made the remarks in the first day of the 27th conference on Islamic unity in Tehran on Friday.

The Syrian personality said the Islamic Republic's stance in support of the world's wronged nations including Syria, Palestine and Iraq should be modeled by the Arab and Islamic countries.

The Syrian personality said different sects in Syria are living alongside one another and in doing so they are motivated by their commonalities, including faith in a single divine messenger and a single divine book.

He urged the world people to take the reports by the western media on Syria with a pinch of salt, adding that Syria and Iran were actually punished by the west for their support of the Palestinian nation and the Syrian crisis has been created to punish the two.
