Gaza deprived of vital medical aid

Hamas minister of health Mufid Al-Mukhalalati said the closure of crossings has deprived Gaza of vital medical relief assistance and services provided by some solidarity delegations which used to visit Gaza regularly.

Mukhalalati made the mrearks at a news conference held in Gaza Sunday.

The Palestinian official said the closures also affected important projects in the health sector because of a deficiency of building materials needed to finish the construction of hospitals such as the Indonesian hospital and the maternity hospital in the central district as well as the expansion and development of Naser medical complex.

The minister stressed that the ability to keep providing medical and health services for the Palestinian civilians in Gaza despite all hardships is deemed a big achievement by the Palestinian government and its health ministry.
