Islamic Jihad issues statement on Islamic Revolution anniv
Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement acknowledged that the Palestinian struggle has been a fruit of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
The movement made the remarks in a congratulatory statement issued on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
"The Iranian nation and free people of the world are celebrating the emergence of the largest Islamic democracy in the world," the statement said, a copy of which received by Qudsna.
The movement said the victory of the revolution opened the way for the victories of the Islamic umma in its struggle against tyranny.
The statement also commemorated the memory of the late father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini and said the Palestinian nation never forgets the memory of the late Imam. "Imam Khomeini turned Palestinian issue into a compass for the world of Islam and helped put the struggle against the Zionist regime atop the agenda of the holy system (of Iran)," it added.
The movement also praised the position of the Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei in support of the Palestinian nation. "The firm position has imbued the struggle with a new life," it said, adding that the Islamic Republic and its leader serve as a mainstay for the Palestinian nation.
