IRI to maintain position on Palestine

A senior pro-Palestinian activist in Iran believes that one must ignore the anti-Israeli campaign of the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas in the past decade.
Hojatol-Islam Masih Mohajeri, also told Qudsna that Hamas members may be divided into two groups. "One is comprised of faithful people who have a true concern for the Palestinian cause and the other one is comprised of people with temporal, worldly views," the senior activist said, regretting that the political affairs are mostly controlled by the second group at present.
Also a senior journalist, Mohajeri bemoaned the group for distancing itself from its major ally, the Syrian government as soon as the country was ignited by the flame of terrorism. "The group played into the hand of Qatar and Saudi which fund terrorism that fights for the ouster of the Assad government and the security of Israel," the senior Iranian activist said.
The activist noted that the Islamic Republic has and will maintain its principle ties with Hamas as a Palestinian resistance movement. "Iran's position concerning the Palestinian issue would never change," the activist noted.
Mohajeri also expressed hope the individuals within who went astray during the Syrian crisis would modify their position and would asses the situation based on the realities on the ground.
