Israel bows to captive's pressure

Palestinian detainee Abdul-Majeed Khudairat, 46, has halted his hunger strike after reaching a deal with the Israeli prosecutors to reduce his 8-year imprisonment term.

Family sources confirmed on Friday morning that for the BBC news and stopped his hunger strike , noting that Khudairat has stopped his hunger strike after reaching an agreement with Israeli  military prosecution to spend 12 months in Israeli jails before his release.

The sources pointed out that his health condition has dramatically deteriorated due to his two hunger strikes in Israeli jails protesting Israeli decision to impose his previous sentence before being released in swap deal.

Following his visit to Ramla prison hospital, Tadamun Foundation for Human Rights' lawyer confirmed that Khudairat has stopped his hunger strike on Tuesday, where he was transferred from hunger strikers department.

The detainee Abdul-Majeed Khudairat, from Tubas, went on hunger strike since the 15th January 2014 protesting his re-arrest after being released in Wafa al-Ahrar swap deal.
