Israel has violated Wadi Araba pact

A member of the Jordanian parliament notes that the Zionist regime of Israel has yet to meet any of its key commitments under the Wadi Araba peace agreement with Jordan 20 years ago.

Mostafa al-Amavi told Qudsna that the Wadi Araba was actually a US-Israeli conspiracy aimed at drawing Jordan away from Palestinian people.

"Israel has yet to meet key provisions of the agreement on allowing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state," he said.

Asked about a call among his colleagues in the parliament for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador from Jordan, the lawmaker said not only the lawmakers, but also the Jordanian people spare no chances in supporting the Palestinian nation.

The Jordanian lawmaker expressed regret that the international community has failed to adopt a tangible move against the Israeli atrocities.

The lawmaker said Israel has become further emboldened amid failure of the Muslim countries to adopt a consistent stance in the face of Israel.
