Syria never leaves Palestinians alone

A member of the Syrian parliament says the adverse conduct of certain Palestinian groups towards the Syrian government would never prompt it to review its principle support to the Palestinian nation.

Alluding to certain positions of the Hamas movement, Ali abd al-Jalil told Qudsna that Syria was so generous in foreign relations that it would not withdraw its support to the Palestinian nation in reaction to adverse stance of certain groups or remarks of certain individuals.

The Syrian authority revealed that years ago the Syrian President Bashar Assad was offered many concessions in return for a shutdown of the offices of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad in Syria however the Syrian government even refused the insignificant demand.

The Syrian lawmaker said the government has adopted a solid, unchangeable stance on the Palestinian issue since it was occupied in 1948.

The lawmaker said today "everyone knows that the crisis in Syria is part of a conspiracy aimed at overthrowing" a pro-Palestinian source of power in the Arab world.

The parliamentarian suggested that given the arms delivered to terrorists in Syria were handed to the Palestinian nation, Palestine would have been released and poverty would have been uprooted form from the world of Islam.
