Israel tightens cyber security following hack threats

In the wake of threats by the Anonymous group for staging a cyber-attack on Israel on April 7, the regime has heightened preparedness Thursday, blocking emails from abroad through Tuesday.

The Zionist regime has also ordered its employees to abstain from opening emails for five days, according to Walla.

The decision to take extra measures followed a security appraisal of the cyber threat by the pro-justice hacktivists, in an operation code-named ‘OpIsrael 7 April 2014’.

This is the second year that the anti-Israel hacker group known has organized the day-long hacking spree.

After last year’s April 7 attacks, Israeli officials maintained the attempts were largely unsuccessful, although the Israeli Education Ministry and Central Bureau of Statistics websites were down for hours.

The regime has geared up this year amid fears that viruses may shut down computers and compromising important data.
