Dozens of haredim protested the arrest of an ultra-Orthodox draft-dodger on Eshkol Boulevard in al-Quds on Saturday night.

Protesters later attempted to block the entrance to the capital near the Bridge of Strings.

Six protesters were detained for questioning. Similar protests were reported in Ashdod and at the Geha interchange on Route 4 near Bnei Brak.

Meanwhile, More than 500 haredim rioted in al-Quds’ ultra-Orthodox Mea She’arim neighborhood Thursday afternoon to protest the arrest of a young man for refusing to report for IOF service.
